Driving Around the Bend
AROUND THE WORLD, Chapter 16:IN WHICH WE BOB AND WEAVE
Day 17: Tremezzo, Italy
THURSDAY, 8 MAY 2014
What are plans for if not to change? Rather than driving east to Padova today, we decided to spend another day in the Lake Como area. The scenery is so beautiful we were having problems dragging ourselves away. So we spent the day relaxing and drove south to the town of Moltrasio this afternoon to search for a letterbox planted in 2012 at a local hotel. Unfortunately, the groundskeepers were apparently too efficient and the box was no longer in it hiding place.
On the way back to our hotel in Tremezzo, a 13-mile trip that took more than 45 minutes, we decided to create a little video to illustrate our challenges with driving on the narrow secondary roads of Italy. Thanks to Cirque du Soleil for providing the perfect tune, Jeux d'Enfants.
